Dean and Sean are the founders and principals of EVstudio. Both are licensed architects in Colorado and Sean holds an NCARB certificate as well as a LEED AP certificate while Dean holds an EIT registration.
Prior to starting EVstudio, Sean worked for Odell Architects, Semple Brown Design, Gerou & Associates and LKS Architects. Dean owned Eagle View Architecture, worked at Gerou & Associates, RALS and The Kiewit Companies. Sean has a Master’s degree from Georgia Tech, a Master’s degree from Oklahoma and a Bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma. Dean holds degrees in Mechanical engineering and Applied Mathematics from the University of Colorado.
Sean’s an active member of AIA where he’s the committee chair for the AIA Denver Design Awards, a member of the Young Architects Awards Gala committee and the Treasurer Elect for AIA Denver. In addition he’s the Vice Chair of the Congress for the New Urbanism Colorado Chapter Organizing Committee. Sean’s also very proud of being a husband of nine years with a three year old son and a one year old daughter.
Dean is a member of the AIA as well and he volunteers his time helping open space and community development organizations in the local Evergreen Community. He is also active with the Downtown Business Association in Evergreen where he and his wife, Dana, own and lease commercial property in the Evergreen Mountain Village. He also volunteers with Cub scouting and little league baseball, among other activities for his children, ages 8 and 9. Dean’s wife also owns EV Real Estate, a full service residential and commercial real estate firm that is allied with EV Studio.
